Platform Availability and Performance
The
VoiceGenie platform has been designed to be fault-tolerant
and self-healing. This includes detection and recovery
from speech engine failures, software faults, and application
errors. Applications can detect and recover from most
fault situations without impacting the caller experience.
VoiceGenie
leverages high-density telephony cards from Dialogic
and Brooktrout to achieve high per-platform port densities.
The VoiceXML ‘middleware’ is highly optimized,
and is subjected to load, availability and performance
testing second to none in the industry.
Platform
Management
VoiceGenie’s platform solutions include the VoiceGenie
Management Console (VMC), a web-based GUI that leverages
the VoiceGenie Cluster Management Platform (CMP) framework.
The CMP provides a mechanism for clustering of VoiceGenie
platforms, and centralized management of both platforms
and clusters.
The VMC provides the following features, both at the
platform and cluster levels:
Configuration control and management;
Data collection and presentment;
Status and alarm monitoring and response;
Historical and real-time reporting capabilities;
Operational control functions;
Diagnostic support tools

The CMP framework is a highly available component of
the VoiceGenie solution suitable as a standalone element
management system, or as an integration point to customer
management tools. The CMP infrastructure also provides
complete support for collection of application related
logs, including information suitable for debugging and
tuning. This data is available via the VMC.
The
VoiceGenie management framework also includes complete
support for SNMP, and includes an open SOAP-based API
suitable for custom management integrations.
