Eric Burger
Eric Burger is the technological visionary for
SnowShore Networks, defining the architecture
and leading the technology development of SnowShore's
media server products. He serves as the company's
evangelist for IP communications infrastructure
products and is often called upon to speak on
issues about IP telephony technology and service
creation at industry events.
Since the inception of SnowShore Networks, Burger
has been active in the promotion and establishment
of SIP and VoiceXML as the universal industry
standards for media server to application server
interfaces. He is the author of the application
server - media server interface in the ISC's Applications
Framework Document and recently developed two
drafts on SIP's technical requirements for media
servers for the IETF's SIPPING work group.
Prior to co-founding SnowShore, Eric served as
chief scientist of ADC/Centigram Communications
Corporation, where he led the development of Centigram's
IP-centric architecture. With ten patents pending,
Eric is active in the IETF, W3C, IEEE, and ISC.
Eric holds degrees from MIT and the Catholic University
of Leuven.

Daniel
C. Burnett
Dr.
Burnett joined Nuance in 1999. After a brief sojourn
in the Dialog Research group, he initiated the
technical standards activity within the engineering
department. In this role, Dan coordinates engineering
involvement in standards activities and is the
primary Nuance contact for all VoiceXML-related
standards activities. He is chief editor of the
Speech Synthesis Markup Language specification,
co-editor of the VoiceXML 2.0 specification, and
a primary contributor within the W3C Voice Browser
Working Group and the IETF SpeechSC Working Group.
Prior to joining Nuance, he performed a variety
of research, prototyping, and liaison activities
at SBC Communications in the speech research and
development group. Dan received his Ph.D. in computer
science and engineering from OGI and his B.S.
degree in mathematics from Harvey Mudd College.

Rob
Marchand
Rob
Marchand is Director of Products and Services
Development for VoiceGenie Technologies Inc. Rob
has been with VoiceGenie Technologies since 1999,
and has worked in advanced computing and telecommunications
since 1985. At VoiceGenie, Rob is responsible
for the VoiceGenie Developer Workshop (http://developer.voicegenie.com),
and new products and services development. Rob
is a member of the VoiceXML Education Committee,
and of USENIX and SAGE, and a regular contributor
to SANS. VoiceGenie is a Promoter Member of the
VoiceXML Forum.

Matt Oshry
Matt
Oshry is a regular columnist for the Speak &
Listen column in the VoiceXML Review. Matt is
currently the Content Manager at Tellme Networks.
Previously, Matt spent seven years at Microsoft
writing technical documentation.
