Introduction
With
the publication in October 2001 of VoiceXML 2.0 as a
W3C Working Draft, VoiceXML is finally on its way to
become a W3C standard. VoiceXML 2.0 is based on VoiceXML
1.0, which was submitted to the W3C Voice Browser Working Group by the VoiceXML Forum in May 2000. In this article,
we examine some of the key changes in the first public
working draft of VoiceXML 2.0 as compared to the VoiceXML
1.0 specification.
